Today is the most wonderful day of the year, to me anyway!  I’m sure many of you disagree and would rank Christmas, Birthdays or a day at Magic Kingdom above St. Patrick’s Day, but not me!  I love anything and everything Irish.

As a child I don’t think my mom could even get me to try traditional irish food.  Now, I crave it!  There’s nothing better than the smell of cooking corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and carrots all the while drinking a Magners (or 2) and eating some soda bread (toasted and buttered of course).

Luckily enough, I married a nice Irish guy, so he was fine with how crazy I get when it comes to celebrating this time of year.  He didn’t even mind when I dressed us the same.

And hopefully he will never notice the ridiculous amounts of money I spend on St. Patrick’s Day paraphernalia.

When it was time for our little Erin Eileen’s 1st St. Patrick’s Day, I just had to do an Irish themed photoshoot with our beloved and amazing photographer, Erin Witkowski.

And as if one Irish themed photoshoot wasn’t good enough, we had to do another one the following year.  And boy I’m glad we did!

I hope everyone enjoys the most wonderful day of the year as much as I do!

“May the road rise up to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back,

May the sun shine warm upon your face;

The rains fall soft upon your fields

And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of his hand.”
